Automated Parking, the Solution for the Development of any City

The number of cars increases from year to year. This phenomenon happens everywhere in the world, not just in Romania. This generates a lot of pollution, congestion, stress, but there are also people who have chosen to turn all these troubles into real opportunities.

We are not talking now about shopping centers, amusement parks, or hotels, but about local authorities. The rush for a parking spot has led to the formation of municipal companies that manage a few hundred and maybe even thousands of positions in the largest localities in our country.

In Cluj-Napoca, it is already known that the City Hall has turned parking into a consistent source of income. But let’s not discuss the big cities anymore, let’s look towards Moldova, an area many consider poor. However, the revenues from parking spaces in a county residence are spectacular.

Automated Parking with Rapid Investment Recovery

2,000,000 lei in a pandemic year represents an incredible amount. The municipality obtains this money from 10,000 spaces. Of these, 9,200 spaces are residential parking and bring one million lei to the budget. The other million is obtained from the remaining spaces. 200,000 lei come from parking meters covering 600 parking spaces, while 800,000 lei are obtained from barrier parking systems.

How can this be achieved? With good organization, a pragmatic approach, the implementation of high-performance parking management systems that have all the necessary features to propose optimizations and offer a good experience to users. If initially the investment in such a system is significant, it is quickly recovered, in just a few months, if the parameters are well set under the guidance of a specialist.

Cities in Romania need better organization of available public parking areas, systematization of these through the implementation of automated management systems that find optimal solutions for organizing flows, collecting parking fees, and represent an easy-to-use interface for those who use the parking.
