TORMED medical doors require periodic service and maintenance, tailored to each door’s function. For hermetic and semi-hermetic doors in the operating suite, airtightness matters. For radiology doors, the integrity of radiation protection is checked. At UPU access points, response speed matters, and for fire-resistant doors, proper closing.
Maintenance includes checking the sealing gaskets, automatic operators and touchless opening sensors, locking and interlocking systems, as well as adjusting closing speed and force. This way, patients, staff, and beds can pass safely.
For doors in medical units, at least one annual inspection is recommended. In high-traffic areas such as UPU, the operating suite, or main corridors, preventive maintenance is recommended every 6 months.
