Yellow industrial rapid door for commercial and industrial spaces.

Why you need service for industrial doors and gates

A jammed sectional door can put a loading bay out of operation. A gate that won’t open delays truck access, and a rapid door left open allows air exchange between areas with different temperatures. In a warehouse or storage facility, these issues affect delivery schedules, goods flow, and working conditions.

Service for industrial doors and gates includes diagnosis of mechanical and electrical components, adjustments, repairs, and testing of safety devices. Preventive maintenance adds scheduled inspections to identify wear before blockages occur. The schedule is set according to the number of opening and closing cycles, the operating environment, and the consequences of a shutdown.

KADRA Service operates nationwide, for factories, logistics centers, warehouses, and commercial spaces. We provide service for industrial doors and gates for factories and production facilities in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, for industrial halls in Iași and Timișoara, or for warehouses in Constanța and Brașov, as well as in other locations across the country. We coordinate the work with the site’s technical manager, taking into account the production schedule and loading-unloading operations.

We also work with equipment installed by other suppliers, based on a technical assessment. For managers of an industrial park or a network of warehouses, this means a single partner for the maintenance of different equipment and locations.

5 signs that your industrial door or gate is no longer working properly

1. Movement becomes slow, jerky, or interrupted

A door that stops mid-travel or a gate that starts up sluggishly requires checking the drive and mechanism. The technician inspects the motor or gear motor, transmission, guide rails, and control parameters, depending on the model. The diagnosis determines whether the issue is mechanical, electrical, or safety-related.

2. The sectional door rises unevenly or the panels tilt

Uneven movement, a damaged cable, or rollers that have come out of the track require stopping use and checking the door. The lifting cables, drums, rollers, and balancing system, including torsion springs, are inspected. Work on these components must be carried out by qualified personnel.

3. Unusual noises, vibrations, or friction occur

Banging, squeaking, or panels rubbing against the guides during operation can indicate component wear, loss of alignment, or issues with the fastenings. For sliding gates, the rollers, the track (where present), and the pinion-rack assembly are also checked. Noise alone doesn't determine exactly which part needs repair or replacement.

4. The door doesn't close completely or the flexible curtain is damaged

A gap at floor level, loose seals, or a torn PVC curtain warrant an inspection. The closing position, alignment, and sealing are checked, and for rapid doors, the curtain and side guides as well. In cold storage spaces, incomplete closing can increase air exchange.

5. Repeated stops, reopenings, or safety errors occur

A gate that refuses to close with the passage clear, or a door that reopens frequently for no apparent reason, requires diagnosis of the safety devices and controls. Photocells, the optical barrier, the sensitive edge, and position signals, where installed, are checked. Safety devices should never be disabled in order to keep the equipment running.

Act quickly, reduce repair costs

If you notice these symptoms, request a technical inspection. In the event of uncontrolled movement, damaged support components, or a risk of impact, stop using the equipment and cordon off the area according to the site's procedures until a specialist arrives.

Services for industrial doors and gates

We plan the work according to the type of equipment, the intensity of use, and its role in the operational flow. The assessment covers both the functioning of the door or gate and the safety devices relevant to how it is used.

KADRA, technical audit (2)

Technical
audit

We take inventory of the equipment and check the condition of the mechanisms, drives, controls, and safety devices. We review the available history, component wear, and recurring issues.

You receive a technical report, recommendations, and an estimated quote. You’ll know what’s urgent, what can be scheduled, and what needs to be budgeted.

Rapid
interventions

We take requests for jammed industrial doors, non-functional gates, or abnormal operation. Please specify whether loading, truck access, or production is affected.

We prioritize based on urgency and contractual conditions, then carry out diagnostics and check the safety devices. Until the team arrives, do not force the jammed equipment.

Repairs and spare parts

We perform adjustments and replace worn or faulty components: rollers, cables, springs, seals, panels, curtains, sensors, and drive or control elements.

Local parts stock supports our interventions, and their availability affects the timeline. When repair isn’t justified, we propose modernization and the associated costs.

Types of industrial doors and gates serviced

We provide service and maintenance for manual and automated equipment in industry, logistics, and commercial spaces. The work is adapted to the model and documentation of the installation.

Frequently asked questions

The frequency is determined by the manufacturer’s instructions, the number of cycles, the environment, and the operating regime. A door used across multiple shifts may require more frequent inspections than one with low traffic. The plan follows the calendar intervals and usage thresholds specified for the model.

Preventive maintenance involves scheduled inspections and adjustments. Corrective intervention resolves a fault that has already occurred, through diagnosis, repairs, and testing. The two services complement each other throughout the door’s or gate’s service life.

Yes, KADRA Service offers multi-brand interventions, based on a technical assessment. The solution depends on the model, documentation, compatibility, and parts availability. Identifying the equipment and its configuration comes before determining the work needed.

The quote specifies the equipment covered, the number of inspections, reporting, response and intervention conditions, and the services included for parts or labor. Planning takes into account the usage regime and the working hours agreed with the client.

The timeline depends on urgency, location, and contractual conditions. The repair duration depends on the fault, access to the installation, and the parts needed. Response time, arrival on site, and restoring operation are separate stages.

The audit includes identifying the equipment and assessing the mechanisms, drives, controls, and relevant safety devices. Wear, available history, and usage conditions are reviewed. You receive a technical report, recommendations, and an estimated quote, to help prioritize repairs and maintenance.

Stop using the equipment if there’s a risk of uncontrolled movement or damaged components, and contact service. Report the symptom, the model, and the error code. Only check the elements permitted by the manual. Do not force the door, do not adjust the springs or cables, and do not disable the safety devices.

The cost depends on the model, dimensions, fault, labor, parts, and location. For maintenance, the number of pieces of equipment, usage, and frequency of inspections also matter. The quote is determined after an assessment, specifying the work required.

Other equipment serviced

In loading and unloading areas, KADRA Service can also assess dock equipment: dock levelers, dock seals, and safety accessories, after identifying the equipment. Planning this alongside the industrial doors helps track the condition of the entire loading point.

Our service portfolio also includes automatic pedestrian doors, medical doors, turnstiles, vehicle barriers, Parkomatic parking systems, fire-resistant curtains, and smoke extraction equipment. Services are determined following a technical assessment.
