Automatic door service
Fast interventions, audit, and maintenance
Preventive maintenance, technical audits, and rapid interventions, nationwide. In-house teams, multi-brand diagnostics, and repairs for pedestrian automatic doors, with nationwide coverage.

Why You Need Automatic Door Service
A properly functioning automatic door means safe access, without blockages or risks for those who use it daily. Mechanical and electronic components wear out over time, and the absence of a service contract for automatic units can lead to unexpected downtime, higher repair costs, and, most importantly, safety risks for users. KADRA provides complete automatic door service, regardless of manufacturer, with in-house teams deployed nationwide.
A jammed automatic door can block access to a store, delay movement in a hospital, or leave a building’s entrance open. Even before a complete failure occurs, noises, jerky movement, and incomplete closing indicate that the equipment needs to be checked. Automatic door service includes diagnostics of mechanical and electronic components, adjustments, repairs, and testing of safety functions. Preventive maintenance adds scheduled inspections to identify wear and reduce the risk of blockages.
KADRA Service operates nationwide, at any location. We provide automatic door servicing for office buildings or major shopping centers in Bucharest or Cluj-Napoca. We respond quickly to repair automatic doors at hotels or wellness centers in Constanța or Brașov. We ensure that automatic doors in hospitals or medical clinics in Iași or Timișoara operate correctly and safely. We also work with equipment installed by other suppliers, based on technical assessment. For retail chains and building administrators, this means a single service partner for multiple locations and equipment brands.
5 Signs Your Automatic Door Isn't Working as It Should

1. The door opens or closes more slowly
Movement that is slower than usual, jerky, or interrupted warrants checking the operator and mechanism. For automatic sliding doors, the technician inspects the rollers, track, guides, and drive belt, then verifies operating parameters.

2. Unusual noises or vibrations occur
Squeaking, knocking, and vibrations during movement can indicate problems with mechanical components or fittings. The inspection checks the rollers, bearings, panel alignment, and fastenings. Noise alone doesn't determine which part needs replacing.

3. The door reacts late
If you need to get unusually close to trigger the opening, the activation sensor and its detection field need to be checked. Depending on the configuration, the door uses motion radar sensors and infrared presence sensors, each with distinct roles in activation and safety.

4. The door reopens for no reason
Repeated openings when the passage is clear may be related to the sensors or other commands received by the automation system. A sensor may detect movement outside the pedestrian path or even the movement of the panel itself. Diagnostics determine the cause before any adjustments are made.

5. The automatic door doesn't close completely
A remaining gap between the panels or immediate reopening after closing requires checking the guides, alignment, obstacles, and sensor signals. Depending on the model, the locking system is also checked. Safety features must not be disabled to force closing.

Act quickly, reduce repair costs
If you notice these symptoms, request a technical inspection. When operation puts users at risk, manage access according to the equipment's instructions until a specialist intervenes.

Types of Automatic Doors Serviced
We provide service and maintenance for pedestrian automatic doors used in retail, hotels, offices, institutions, hospitals, and transport terminals. Inspections are tailored to the configuration and documentation of each piece of equipment.
Maintenance and repairs are determined based on the operating mechanism and the structural type of the door. We offer sliding door service, swing door service, revolving door service, and break-out system service, for equipment from any manufacturer.

Automatic Sliding Door Service
Repeated openings when the passage is clear may be related to the sensors or other commands received by the automation system. A sensor may detect movement outside the pedestrian path or even the movement of the panel itself. Diagnostics determine the cause before any adjustments are made.

Automatic Swing Door Service
Opening occurs by rotating the panel around a vertical axis, using hydraulic or electromechanical actuation. Diagnostics focus on the opening force, delay times, and the operation of the stoppers.

Automatic or Manual Revolving Door Service
The central rotating mechanism simultaneously manages several passage compartments. Intervention focuses on the transmission system, anti-collision sensors, and emergency stop behavior.

Automatic Door Service with Break-Out System
The sliding panels can be opened manually, by swinging sideways, in case of evacuation or power failure. We check the break-out electromagnetic coupling, the force required for release, and the automatic return of the panel to its initial position.

Special Door Service (Banks, Airports, Hospitals)
We provide service for special doors, whether installed in banks, airports, or hospitals, each with its own technical requirements: high operating cycles, integration with access control systems, and, in the case of medical facilities, hermetic doors or doors with sanitizable surfaces.

KADRA Automatic Door Service
A properly diagnosed automatic door repair starts with identifying the failed component: motor, control board, or sensor. We carry out automatic door repairs using parts from our own stock, including emergency interventions nationwide.
See detailed information about the types of automatic doors we sell, install, service and maintain, as well as those we integrate into architects’ CAD documentation.
For repairs to glass automatic doors, the inspection also checks the condition of the panels and fittings, especially after an impact. For swing doors, the operator, the actuating arm, and the protection of the movement area are checked.

Each KADRA mobile team travels in fully equipped vans with a standard stock of original spare parts, allowing automatic doors to be diagnosed and brought back into operation on the first visit, anywhere in the country.
How often should automatic doors be maintained?
The frequency is determined according to the manufacturer’s instructions, traffic, and usage conditions. For most applications, KADRA recommends at least one annual inspection, with six-month checks for high-traffic spaces. A technical assessment may indicate a more frequent schedule.
What is the difference between maintenance and service intervention?
Preventive maintenance involves planned checks and adjustments. Corrective intervention resolves an issue that has already occurred, through diagnosis, repairs, and equipment testing. The two services complement each other throughout the door’s service life.
Do you service automatic doors installed by other suppliers?
Yes, KADRA Service offers multi-brand interventions, including for doors installed by other suppliers. The solution is determined after identifying the model and conducting a technical assessment, taking into account compatibility and parts availability.
What's Included in an Automatic Door Service Contract
The content depends on the chosen package: the number of inspections, reporting, response and intervention terms, and the benefits for parts or labor. The offer specifies the included services and is tailored to the equipment, usage, and locations served.
How long does an emergency intervention take
The intervention timeframe depends on urgency, location, and contractual terms. The repair duration depends on the malfunction and the parts required. Response time, arrival on site, and restoring operation are distinct stages.
What's Included in a Technical Audit of Automatic Doors
The audit includes checking the mechanical and electronic components, sensors, and safety functions. You receive a technical report, intervention recommendations, and an estimated quote, to prioritize repairs and maintenance.
What to Do If the Automatic Door Won't Open or Close
Only check the elements allowed by the user manual, such as the selected program and any visible obstacles. If the problem persists, contact service and provide the error code, if available. Do not force the panels and do not disable the safety sensors.
How Much Does Automatic Door Service Cost
The cost depends on the door model, the malfunction, labor, parts, and location. For maintenance, the number of units and the frequency of inspections also matter. The quote is determined after an assessment, specifying the required work.
Other equipment serviced
KADRA Service also provides service and maintenance for medical doors, turnstiles, high-speed doors, automatic gates and barriers, and Parkomatic parking systems. The portfolio also includes fire-resistant doors and curtains, as well as smoke extraction equipment. Services are determined after identifying the equipment and its technical requirements.
