Modern and Efficient Access for the New Spaces of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca recently opened new educational spaces in two buildings iconic for the city: the former Transilvania Bank and the former Fashion House, now transformed into the UTCN Hub. Both buildings were completely rehabilitated between 2017 and 2023 and obtained a green building certificate, reflecting a high standard of energy efficiency and sustainability.

The increasing number of students and the need for modern study spaces were the basis for this significant investment, and KADRA was an active part of the process, through organizing and automating the access areas.

KADRA Solutions for Secure and Generous Access

We supplied and installed:

Three exterior automatic doors, each with two sliding leaves, offering a wide opening of 2.9 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, suitable for an intense flow of students and faculty
One interior automatic door, of generous dimensions – 1.8 m x 2.4 m, which facilitates comfortable passage between building areas

All automation systems are equipped with state-of-the-art, Swiss-made operators, offering reliability, safety, and silent operation. Superior quality systems, precisely installed on joinery manufactured in KADRA’s own micro-production workshop.
