Automatic Windows
Window automation serves to replace traditional opening/closing systems. By using a mechanical system, windows can open automatically, either with a simple button press, a command sent from a mobile phone, or, in case of fire, through signals emitted by smoke/fire sensors.
Window automation is not just about comfort. If windows are located in hard-to-reach areas (at great heights or in domes), installing mechanical opening systems is the only viable solution. Additionally, when opting for natural ventilation by opening windows, at least 25% of them need to be opened. An automated system allows this process to be carried out quickly and efficiently with a simple button press.
For example, sports halls built in recent years in Romania often have glazed areas with windows located approximately 10 meters high. For ventilation, about a quarter of the windows are manually opened using crank systems. This process is cumbersome, and cable and crank-based mechanisms have a short lifespan. The efficient solution is the automation of these windows.
Such a system also ensures smoke evacuation in case of fire, becoming an essential component of the fire protection system. By using 24 V motors, coupled with a control center and sensor system, a safe and efficient smoke evacuation system can be constructed.
There are automation solutions for all types of windows and any opening method. In the adjacent image, examples of windows equipped with motors provided by KADRA can be seen. These benefit from expertise accumulated over 45 years of developing automated access solutions, featuring:
- elegant design and impeccable finishes;
- advanced functionalities (such as motor synchronization or integration with mobile devices – iPhone, iPad);
- high reliability and safety in operation.
