Industrial Sectional Doors at the Diana Meat and Sausage Factory in VâLcea

Safe production with KADRA access solutions (industrial sectional doors, rapid doors, automatic doors) at the Diana meat and sausage factory in Vâlcea

Access solutions through industrial sectional doors, docking ramps, rapid doors, and sliding doors – an integrated project implemented by the KADRA team over more than two years for the Diana sausage factory in Vâlcea and also for its own retail stores.

Diana is one of the largest independent retailers in Romania, the company owns a slaughterhouse where it processes meat and produces sausages in Bujoreni, Vâlcea, as well as a local chain of grocery stores, recently launching a Gourmet location concept. Since 2018, Diana has invested heavily in the re-technologization process of the factory and in remodeling the stores.

Diana chose KADRA for automated access solutions both for the slaughterhouse and to change the shopping experience in its own stores.

Industrial Sectional Doors for Rooms with Low, Controlled Temperatures

KADRA equipped the new building of the Diana meat and sausage factory in Râmnicu Vâlcea with a system of special industrial doors for various specific areas of meat processing activities under optimal food safety conditions.

Depending on the destination and the specifics of the activity, each building needs adapted solutions regarding access. And when it comes to the food industry, parameters related to controlled temperature or compliance with hygiene rules are essential for the smooth running of activities.

The Diana factory in Râmnicu Vâlcea is a traditional Romanian company ranked among the top slaughterhouses in Romania and meat product manufacturers with 100% Romanian capital. The expansion of the manufacturing line in Vâlcea involved a significant investment and special attention to the most suitable solutions for conducting activities under maximum safety conditions.

Together with KADRA specialists, the factory designers chose a complex system of doors adapted for various areas and activity flows.

Thus, for areas with controlled temperature, depending on the specific production segment, sliding and swinging metal doors suitable for temperatures between 0°C and +8°C were chosen, swinging doors, Flip-Flap model, made of 5mm transparent PVC for very low temperatures of -25°C, as well as industrial sectional doors with thermal shutter. These highly specialized doors operate in the harshest temperature and traffic conditions, ensuring the sealing of closed areas to maintain constant temperature and environmental conditions.

Safety of People and the Production Process – Fire-Resistant Door System (Industrial Sectional Doors)

The safety of people and goods is a priority in any industrial process, therefore, for the meat factory, KADRA specialists proposed a high-performance and robust system of fire-resistant metal doors, designed to substantially maximize the properties of the materials they are made from.

Moreover, in such a unit, loading and unloading operations are frequent and must have access solutions that, on one hand, optimize energy consumption (avoid thermal transfer) from the rooms where goods are loaded, and also allow a rapid transfer flow. The hydraulic ramp and industrial metal roller with automatic operation are the solutions that KADRA teams implemented in Vâlcea, which are specially designed for high-traffic applications.

Record Automatic Doors for Diana Stores

From this project, together with their builder who handled the modernization of the slaughterhouse, we have installed over twelve automatic doors in the Diana store network in the last 12 months.

And the story continues, as we are currently developing a project for these Diana factory stores with break-out system doors.

Therefore, at the Diana factory in Râmnicu Vâlcea, KADRA proposed and implemented a complex system of solutions tailored to specific needs, translated into compliance with strict production conditions, with care for the teams working there but always aiming to streamline workflows.
