KADRA - Internationally Certified Quality and Performance

Certifications, standards, and qualifications. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001. These are terms we are proud to have in the KADRA company’s portfolio. But what do these certifications mean, what do these numbers signify? Why do they place us among the top internationally respected companies?

Obtaining an international certification is a lengthy process, but not impossible. However, it is much more difficult to maintain this certification because it requires daily adherence to the commitments made, as well as very well-organized management systems.

ISO 9001:2008 is more than a certificate that attests to the quality of a product; it is a certificate that attests, above all, to the quality of a company. The standard is international, meaning it is recognized in every corner of the globe. The ISO 9001 quality management system prioritizes customer orientation and satisfaction evaluation, as well as top management’s commitment to continuous improvement. More specifically, this standard is based on eight fundamental principles: adapting to customer requirements and meeting market needs; leadership – providing direction and purpose; involving company personnel in achieving objectives by creating a conducive environment for their activities; interconnectivity of all resources and activities; efficiency; continuous development; fact-based decision-making; and, last but not least, transparency and communication.

The result of applying these principles? International specialized studies have concluded that companies applying the ISO standard have better management; offer better services to customers; are recognized and accepted internationally; and, more than anything, receive far fewer or no complaints from customers, delivery times are greatly improved compared to other companies in the same field, and product manufacturing defects are almost nonexistent.

The relationship with the environment is also very important for KADRA. The proof is the ISO 14001:2004 certification, which refers to environmental protection and pollution prevention at a general level. Internally, this standard guarantees employees that they work in a healthy environment where resources are respected. Applying ISO 14001 not only involves controlling resources and respecting the environment but also implementing strict management rules aimed at creating a conducive work environment.

Respect for employees and collaborators is what brought KADRA the 18001:2007 certification. OHSAS 18001:2007 is an international standard that certifies the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, which provides the necessary measures for controlling risks in health and safety at work and improving performance in this area. What does this mean more concretely? Security within the company is improved; risks are carefully controlled and reduced by establishing clear rules, objectives, and responsibilities; legislation is respected; both products and personnel benefit from protection, and the company’s operating principles are based on transparency in internal and external communication.

Like the ISO standards for quality and environment, the standard for occupational health and safety is also based on the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” principle = Plan – Execute – Control – Act, and perhaps more than anything, on continuous development. All these certifications have been awarded to KADRA by Dekra, one of the most powerful institutions in the field. Founded in 1925 in Berlin, Dekra is present in over 50 countries, being a benchmark in safety and management. The motto of Dekra’s nearly 40,000 people is: “No compromise when it comes to safety” – this being the most important criterion followed when certifying a company, a condition that KADRA has undoubtedly respected and continues to respect.
