A common problem in the parking sector is the lack of cash and the inability to pay by card.
This problem is also frequently encountered in the hotel industry, where you often interact with people from abroad who do not have the national currency or whose cards are not accepted by existing systems.
To solve this problem, KADRA, the specialists in automated parking, have created a card and contactless card payment system.
Simple, fast, and efficient, this system allows any parking user to make payments quickly, with most cards issued abroad being accepted immediately, with direct currency conversion.
The uniqueness of this system in Romania makes it a reference point in the automated parking market, fully provided by KADRA. These systems allow complete operation without the need for human presence, except for the person who changes consumables (receipt rolls).
How Does it Work?
The entire system is fast, intuitive, and automated.
The customer receives a ticket with a barcode, and the system assigns the entry time to that ticket.
Before exiting, the customer goes to the automated payment station with card and contactless card, where they scan the ticket, and the system displays the payment amount. Then, the customer can choose between cash or card payment.
In the case of cash payment, the machine provides the exact change in coins and banknotes, and the customer can leave the parking lot after making the payment by scanning the parking ticket at the exit.
In the case of card or contactless card payment, the customer chooses the desired option, and the system displays the necessary steps to complete the payment. At this point, the customer can insert the card and PIN or bring the contactless card close to the reader.
Immediately after verification, the customer receives the receipt and can leave the parking lot by scanning the ticket at the exit.
A simple representation of the system with PIN card and contactless card is presented below. The card and contactless card payment system was implemented by KADRA engineers.
Currently, this is the only card and contactless card payment system used in automated parking in Romania and is set to be implemented in over 10 locations across the country this year.
