The "Hospital Architecture" Event
On April 8th, the “Hospital Architecture” event took place, organized by Share Architects and supported by KADRA. 15 specialists in hospital infrastructure discussed critical aspects of the design processes for new or rehabilitated hospital buildings in Romania.
Renowned architects, with whom KADRA has collaborated on important projects for our portfolio of medical works, designers involved in some of the most complex medical infrastructure projects in Romania, representatives from the Ministry of Health, addressed the thorny subjects regarding hospital architecture in Romania.
- The lack of a national strategy,
- Outdated regulations,
- The absence of a best practices guide that is embraced by all those active in the field,
- Underfunding of medical infrastructure projects,
- Difficulties in rehabilitating old hospitals and the acute need to build new hospitals.
These were just a few of the topics discussed at this meeting in which KADRA actively participated, through the intervention of Andreea Strugaru, who shared our experiences and challenges as providers of access solutions in hospital projects.
Participation in this event is part of a broader effort to position KADRA as a reliable partner for architects and designers of medical infrastructure, as well as an integrator of access solutions involved in identifying optimal solutions for improving conditions in Romanian hospitals.
We want to be part of this public dialogue because we have insights to share and can also offer concrete solutions to address at least the issues in the access area, especially through our Tormed portfolio (automatic doors, clean doors, parking, fire protection systems, etc).
The event is just the first episode in a longer series where solutions to the raised issues will be presented, and, we hope, working groups will be created in which we can participate to address these aspects and facilitate our involvement in certain medical projects.
