Thermoscanner – more Safety in Public Spaces
In the context of the times we live in, there is a need for a product that offers safety, confidence, and is adapted to new health standards.
An important aspect regarding access control in spaces frequented by a large number of people (office buildings, sports halls, public institutions, healthcare units) is epidemiological screening. According to current regulations generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, people entering closed public spaces must wear a protective mask and have a body temperature below 37.3 ºC.
KADRA addresses the new standards with an elegant and versatile solution – a thermoscanner with dual function:
- temperature measurement
- facial recognition and mask presence.
The thermoscanner can be easily mounted on both pedestrian access turnstiles and automatic doors. It is a multifunctional terminal for access control, with an 8” display.
The advantages of KADRA’s dual-function thermoscanner are numerous:
- High precision in IR body temperature measurement.
- Facial recognition of protective mask usage.
- Voice alarm in case of detecting abnormal body temperature or absence of a mask.
- Voice messages in multiple languages.
- Liveness detection, presence of a person, not a photograph.
- Very complex facial recognition algorithm (the device’s internal memory allows recognition of up to 20,000 faces).
- Recognition mode 1: N.
- Dedicated WDR 120dB camera for facial recognition, with improved performance even in backlighting conditions.
- Allows tamper alarm.
- Standalone operation.
- Remote monitoring and two-way audio conversation.
- Centralization with VMS software. API/SDK available for integration into other systems.

The thermoscanner has two operating modes:
- stand-alone
- connected to an access control system via the WIEGAND interface
The installation of the device is simple due to dedicated mounting accessories. Adjustable supports allow perfect positioning and adjustment of the thermoscanner’s target.
