Starting this year, parking in Poiana Brașov is no longer a problem. In the busiest resort on Valea Prahovei, a parking lot with over 400 spaces for vehicles, disabled persons’ vehicles, spaces for minibuses, buses, and 90 bicycle parking spaces has been inaugurated.
Therefore, those who go skiing this winter will have transport from the parking lot to the base of the slope via special minibuses with a circulation schedule every 10 minutes. In this way, tourists no longer have to leave their cars at great distances to walk the way.
This parking assists ski enthusiasts and provides necessary facilities for a mountain resort. For example, the skipass guarantee can be recovered from a special device (located inside the parking) to avoid long queues or issues raised by the schedule of special ticket offices.
Payment is made at automatic cashiers on the ground floor, basement, and from the access halls towards the exit. Access to the parking is from the road connecting the city to the Poiana Brașov resort.
Poiana Brașov has become a crowded resort, often avoided by tourists due to unavailable parking spaces. From this year, things will change, the 400 spaces will eliminate the old problem of insufficient parking, located far too far from the base of the slope.
The parking project is valued at 16 million lei, and for this, the Brașov City Hall collaborated with the company KADRA specialized in parking systems.
