Integrated Automatic Access Solutions from KADRA for Dr. Victor Gomoiu Hospital

Clean ward doors, automatic doors for operating rooms, main access with automatic doors, ambulance access with rapid doors, fire-resistant doors, a complete automatic access system, so necessary in a modern hospital, was installed by KADRA at Dr. Victor Gomoiu Children’s Hospital in Bucharest.

The new medical unit was inaugurated in 2018, has six floors, and is built in the courtyard of the current healthcare facility, which is almost a hundred years old, designed and constructed in compliance with all EU standards.

The number of beds increased from 157 to 222, with 50 beds for companions, expanding the hospital from approximately 5,660 sqm to 19,260 sqm.

Additionally, the number of operating rooms increased from 2 existing ones, serving a single specialty (ENT), to 10 (2 ENT operating rooms, 4 pediatric surgery operating rooms, and 4 pediatric orthopedics operating rooms).

Over 770 Tormed Medical Doors for Wards and Medical Offices

Tormed is the first swinging door designed in Romania to meet the requirements of the medical sector. The Tormed door has a series of specific elements:

The glass is flush with the door surface – eliminating spaces where dust accumulates;
Constructed from HPL – can be easily cleaned with water and detergent without being damaged;
Equipped with metal protection panels (kick plates) – to be opened with the foot or by pushing with a stretcher;
Perfectly compatible with automation systems.

2 Rapid Doors for Emergency Access

The 2 rapid doors, automatically activated upon ambulance arrival (through an innovative sensor system), ensure their entry and exit from the emergency reception area. These doors are notable for their very high opening/closing speed, reliability, and compatibility with the advanced sensor system.

10 Guillotine Windows for Instrument Transfer in Operating Rooms

These windows are created to facilitate the exchange of surgical materials between two different areas. The windows are equipped with a vertical support system with counterweights that allow them to remain open in any position.

12 Semi-Sealed Automatic Doors for Operating Rooms

Automatic doors specially created for the medical sector. These types of doors are constructed to meet the strict requirements specific to “clean rooms”: operating rooms, radiology rooms, laboratories, etc. They are notable for their silent operation, increased safety, and high hygiene.

Radiology doors, with lead sheet insertion that complies with European medical standards. Additionally, a series of constructive elements favor hygiene maintenance, allow quick cleaning, and provide resistance to cleaning chemicals.
