KADRA is Involved in Projects that Develop Healthcare Infrastructure

The healthcare system in Romania, heavily challenged during this period by the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus, needs significant investments in infrastructure. Until major projects, which are so necessary, become possible, doctors and hospital managers are trying to compensate for the need for new spaces that meet standards through solutions like modular hospitals.

This is also the case for the modular hospital in Sibiu, intended for handling plastic surgery cases but which, in the current crisis context, will also handle COVID-19 cases. It is a field hospital composed of modular containers, erected in the courtyard of the Sibiu County Clinical Hospital.

KADRA participated in this project by providing skylights and access doors. The fixed skylights, 26 in number, will play a role in the natural lighting of the space, are made of acrylic glass, and have a base made of sheet metal with mineral wool thermal insulation. Besides natural light, they also ensure a thermal barrier.

Regarding the doors, their panels have a galvanized steel coating and on the inside, a rigid filling material with a fibrous structure, having a total thickness of 40 mm.

The solutions proposed by KADRA were adapted to the project’s needs and took into account the safety and hygiene standards in the medical sector.

The experience of our teams in this field enables us to consistently come up with tailored proposals for an area where the standards are entirely special.
