Modern Automated Parking at ZalăU County Emergency Hospital
Zalău County Emergency Hospital has undergone an expansion and renovation process in recent years. An important phase was the modernization of the parking area around the hospital, ensuring easy access for both patients and visitors.
KADRA specialists proposed and installed the Parkomatic automated parking system for easy management of the parking area and to create the best possible experience for users.
When you go to the hospital, it’s clear that you do so out of necessity, whether you are a patient or visiting someone. The last thing you need in such a situation is to worry about where and how you will be able to park near the hospital. Local authorities in Zalău have tried to relieve locals of this concern and, alongside the modernization and expansion works of the hospital unit, decided to organize the parking area in its immediate vicinity. They allocated over 8 million lei from the local budget for the project.
The parking facility was put into full operation with all access and automatic payment features in February of this year. It has two levels and covers 3,702 square meters. Of the 154 parking spaces, 84 are underground, and 70 are on the upper level.
Parkomatic System - Modern Parking for ZalăU County Hospital
The construction was carried out from scratch on the available land near the hospital, and the beneficiaries, namely local authorities, understood the importance of automated management for this facility.
The Parkomatic system installed for the Zalău County Hospital parking is equipped with two entry terminals (which issue barcode tickets) and an exit terminal (with a barcode reader), featuring rapid automatic electromechanical barriers for heavy traffic that open in less than a second, also equipped with RGB LEDs incorporated on the arm for optimal visibility of open-closed positions. Graphic color displays with illustrative video guides were also installed for the entry-exit terminals.
The Automated Cashier allows payment both in cash and by card, including contactless, and includes touch screen functionality for fee payment based on the license plate number without scanning the ticket.
For a better experience for drivers passing through, the parking facility also has zone controllers that count the free spaces on each of the two levels, with an LED display on the ground floor showing available spaces in real-time.
Beyond facilitating access for patients or visitors to the medical unit, the parking also adds to the local budget, as the first 15 minutes are free, after which a parking fee is applied.
