Modernization of the Underground Automated Parking at the Polyvalent Hall in Cluj
The underground parking with over 400 spaces at the largest event hall in Cluj has undergone a technology upgrade for a more pleasant and smooth user experience, and an optimization of management for those who oversee it.
Opened in 2015, with a capacity of 10,000 seats, BT Arena or the Polyvalent Hall in Cluj hosts numerous events annually, ranging from concerts and dance performances to basketball games or tennis tournaments.
Located in the heart of Cluj, the Polyvalent Hall has a generous parking area that is used by spectators and participants during events, and at other times it can be a convenient parking option right in the city center.
Modernized Parking at BT Arena – State-Of-The-Art Technology
This parking, equipped from the construction by KADRA teams with the automatic parking management system, Parkomatic, has recently undergone modernization and re-technologization, necessary due to the high traffic and prolonged use in recent years. The parking has two entrances equipped with fast automatic barriers with straight arms and two exits equipped with automatic barriers with articulated straight arms. Payment can be made at the four automatic payment machines with cash collection and change release, and payment by bank card.
A novelty is that now the parking also benefits from two double 2x22kw stations for charging electric vehicles. The technological upgrade now allows the parking fee and the electric vehicle charging fee to be integrated and appear on the same unique ticket that allows exit from the parking at the end. The parking is also equipped with an LPR camera system and a display showing the number of available free spaces, integrated at the software level with the city’s parking app, available for drivers in Cluj.
With all these features, most represented by new state-of-the-art equipment, BT Arena is truly up-to-date with technology in terms of automatic parking management.
