Ticketing System at Jurasica Adventure Theme Park Neptun Installed by KADRA
Opened in 2021, Jurasica Adventure Theme Park Neptun in Constanța is enjoying increasing success on the Romanian coast, especially during the summer season, thus needing to accommodate a growing flow of visitors, making the need for a high-performance and intelligent ticketing and access control system natural. This is where KADRA teams intervened, proposing a ticketing solution adapted to the park administrators’ needs.
Easier Management and Better Customer Experience
The Neptun Aqua Park in Constanța spans over more than one hectare, with two well-defined entertainment areas: a huge inflatable playground and a spectacular area with prehistoric animals, the stars being the 42 animatronic dinosaurs. Tickets can be purchased online, directly from the park’s website, at the ticket office, and from a specialized platform.
To facilitate access and manage visitor flows, the ticketing system installed by KADRA included: a back-office component with an administration module where the system is monitored, a cashier component (ticket sales on-site), a management module for the souvenir shop, 4 Smart Gates – hardware for access control installed at the entrance, on high turnstiles and tripods, equipped with ticket readers and proximity card readers and 4 bidirectional electromechanical tripod turnstiles motorized with stainless steel body and arms, with included LED light indicators.
With a maximum capacity of 2000 people that can be safely accommodated on-site at the same time, the park has already reached over 1600 visitors daily this summer. The installation of the ticketing system meant streamlining traffic in the access area and reducing waiting times for visitors, thus providing a better experience for both eager children wanting to play and the parents accompanying them.
Beyond the actual functionality – allowing access to those who have paid for a ticket, the system allows the extraction of customized reports to analyze visitor traffic, the number of tickets sold, and the channel from which they were purchased (online or at the ticket office). As a result of implementing the system, the number of tickets sold online increased from 2% of total tickets to approximately 10%, also increasing the demand for Combo tickets, which offer access to both park areas (playground and dinosaur area). Additionally, the system allows better management of stock in the souvenir shop, optimizing timely supply with the most successful products.
More Safety and Valuable Data Reports that Can be Used for Business Development
Very useful for park administrators is the ticketing system’s function, which involves initially scanning the code on the ticket or voucher accompanied by the message “validated,” followed by marking the person in the system as entered after the turnstile arm rotates, thus providing a very clear picture of those who have actually accessed, not just scanned the ticket.
