Tormed Hermetically Sealed Doors for the Burn Unit at Oradea County Hospital
Oradea County Hospital has been undergoing extensive renovation and modernization for several years now, and KADRA’s automated access solutions have consistently found their place in the modernized departments of the medical institution that receives patients from the entire Bihor County. Most recently, the 7th floor of the hospital, where the burn unit is located, underwent this rehabilitation process. The new Plastic Surgery department is equipped with 5 beds for burn patients, completely separate, with positive pressure in the ward, ensuring that patients are not at risk of infection.
Tormed ER Doors
The KADRA team of specialists installed 5 Tormed hermetically sealed doors for the rooms where critically ill patients will be treated and where a controlled, septic environment is needed, given the high risk of infection for burn victims.
Some of the medical doors are also equipped with portholes to allow remote and safe monitoring of patients who, in such situations, require rapid intervention by medical staff.
The Tormed hermetically sealed doors have a perfectly hermetic automation system. This ensures sealing on all 4 sides. Additionally, the system ensures the door lowers at the bottom to achieve perfect isolation.

Glazed Doors and Durable Solutions for Hygiene and Safety
Porthole-type glazing is constructed from 3 panels of laminated and/or tempered glass, between which there are 2 air chambers with a thickness of 21 mm. Portholes can be delivered matte or transparent. The glazing is sealed in the panel without a perimeter frame, coplanar with the panel faces. The thickness of the glazing is the same as the panel, 60 mm. All these details allow easy cleaning of the total surface of the door, meeting hospital hygiene standards, while also allowing design variations. The glazed doors comply with current standards and offer accident protection through the type of glass used. The doors are equipped with non-toxic silicone seals.
Additionally, for the rooms on the floor, Tormed swinging doors with vertical stainless steel edges were provided, which are more durable over time and, at the same time, easy to maintain under maximum hygiene conditions. The doors also have a transom at the top to allow natural lighting of the corridor.
Oradea County Hospital is a complex renovation and modernization project for which KADRA specialists have always provided the right solutions for each medical department, respecting all the requirements imposed by both the medical staff and the construction team responsible for the renovation.
