Record’s C 127 X system: the world’s first concealed operator for automatic swing doors
The concealed mechanism installed by KADRA is the Record C 127 X system, the world’s first swing door operator certified with IP69 protection class, completely sealed against water, dust, and pressurized cleaning agents.
With direct cardan-type transmission technology, this system can operate fully glazed doors weighing up to 600 kg per leaf, with an elegant, silent movement. It’s the right solution for entrances where aesthetics are essential: the door appears completely free of any visible mechanism, and the glass leaves can be almost entirely transparent, letting natural light flood the space.
The operator is concealed in the floor and, if needed, can be invisibly covered with the chosen flooring finish, integrating perfectly into the access area. The system is designed for easy maintenance, even when installed below ground level.
From a design standpoint, the system is available in two configurations: the Offset version, which allows installation at a short distance from the facade, and the Centered version, with a modular alloy housing, suitable for both single-leaf installation and double-leaf doors. The opening angle can be adjusted between 70° and 120°, and the operating times are adjustable: 3–20 seconds for opening, 5–20 seconds for closing, and 0–60 seconds for holding the door open. The system operates at temperatures between -15°C and +50°C, with humidity up to 85%, making it suitable for outdoor installations exposed to variable weather conditions as well.
For safety, the operator features integrated wind damping, which automatically reduces the door speed when subjected to high wind loads, preventing damage to the facade or mounting structure. Thanks to these features, the system is recommended for office buildings, commercial spaces, hotels, and residential projects where a discreet automated entrance is desired, yet capable of supporting heavy, large-format doors.
Service and Maintenance
Even though the operator is concealed in the floor, Record designed maintenance access to remain simple: the system is engineered so that checks and technical interventions do not require removing the flooring or the finishes around the door. KADRA Service teams provide periodic maintenance for automatic swing doors with concealed mechanism, including checking the cardan transmission, safety sensors, wind damping, and the IP69 sealing—essential especially for installations exposed to bad weather. We recommend a preventive maintenance contract for this type of door, given the heavy weight of the glass leaves it operates and the critical role of the concealed operator in the quiet and safe operation of the assembly.
