Custom cellular polycarbonate structure for Electric Castle – functionality, durability, and design in the heart of the festival
Electric Castle once again turned Cluj into a global festival landmark, and the tenth edition was a memorable one—unique atmosphere, ever-present rain, and thousands of attendees every day in Bonțida.
Among this edition’s highlights was a custom structure designed for one of the festival’s bar areas, delivered with the support of the KADRA team.
A futuristic pagoda, built to last
The structure, with a diameter of almost 12 meters, is pagoda-shaped and was made from:
- 10 mm transparent cellular polycarbonate, installed on four walls
- Metal support structure, robust and adapted for outdoor use
The material used—cellular polycarbonate—provides optimal natural light transmission, helping create a pleasant, bright ambience regardless of weather conditions. In addition, it is:
- Impact-resistant, including against hail
- UV-stable
- Easy to install and versatile, ideal for temporary or permanent structures
Built for today, designed for the future
Designed to withstand the challenges of a heavily used environment, the structure will remain in Bonțida for future editions of the festival, becoming part of Electric Castle’s long-term infrastructure.
Through this project, KADRA once again demonstrated its ability to deliver fast, durable solutions with strong visual impact—ideal for events, commercial spaces, or special outdoor applications.
